We start off yet again with another interview this week. This week it’s recently outed New Rochelle Hockey Coach Jim Tozzo. Rudy’s has some interesting events coming up so make sure you check them out at Facebook.com/RudysFoodSportsEntertainment. We talk about Ronda Rousey women’s MMA for a minute before deciding whether or not Ronda Rousey could beat us all up at the same time. She could. We talk some Pace hoops and potential playoff scenarios and then interview Caitlin McCann, a pitcher for Pace Softball. MSG Varsisty’s Jordan Griffith wraps up the show with us covering the latest Westchester County Center semi-final and finals scenarios.
Show from last week is up late, but we had Briarcliff Boys Basketball Head Coach Brandon Coxen on in the first part of the show. Next up is Pelham Hockey coach Ed Witz followed by a great interview with Pace University Baseball player Joe Solomeno. The talk about Pace Basketball a bit before having some technical difficulties which leaves everyone getting mad at each other. Rudy’s had Otto and George perform on Valentines Day which was awesomely inappropriate and a little big of High School Basketball with MSG Varsity’s Jordan Griffith closes out the show.
This week we are once again LIVE from Rudy’s on 156 S. Central Avenue. Coach Brian Laffin from Poughkeepsie boy’s basketball joins us for an interview and we discuss the CRAZY knockout from The Ultimate Fighter this past week. Fifi Fleshwound from Suburbia Roller Derby joins us along with Jordan Griffith from MSG Varsity as well.
This is the most devastating knockout I’ve ever seen.. Holy crap
This week The Scorecard is live from Rudy’s in Hartsdale and we talk to Gina Maher from the Irvington Girls Basketball team, Bruce Hall and New Rochelle Football Head Coach Lou Dirienzo calls in live from New Orleans to talks about his former player Ray Rice playing in the Super Bowl!
They are.. The Yankees did nothing this off season and people say “well their payroll increased by 30 million”. Yeah well Alex Rodriguez gets a 5 million dollar bonus and he won’t play until August. All of the players they have signed outside of Kevin Youkilis were on the team least year and had exceptionally good years (Andy Pettite, Hiroki Kuroda). Youkilis is clearly in a free fall career-wise and the losses of Nick Swisher and Raul Ibanez will have more of an impact than most people think. The Steinbrenner’s sudden responsible spending policy is for another day, but right now the Yankees are a slightly above average team at best.
The Mets have done nothing but good this off season (haven’t heard that in awhile) by starting off with a no-brainer in cutting Jason Bay. The next move they made was trading the reigning CY Young winner for a possible future superstar Catcher. Even if Travis D’Arnaud doesn’t turn into Buster Posey, he can still be a top Catcher just by hitting 275 with a few homers thrown in every year. Now that the Mets have signes Shawn Marcum as well, they’ll solidify what appears to be a pretty solid rotation behind the questionable Johan Santana. If Matt Harvey and Zack Wheeler have exceptional seasons, maybe the Mets can make a playoff run.
If the Mts can top off this off season by signing Michael Bourn, then I think it isn’t much of a stretch to say the Mets could possibly win more games than their cross town rival. A lot has to go right… but it’s possible.
Other than bening the best sports show around, Mike McGinnis, Chris DeAngelo and Seth Cantor cover all of the obscurities of the sports world whether it be from Suburbia roller Derby, Mixed Martial Arts to pro wrestling, The Scorecard covers it all. the Scorecard broadcasts live from Rudy’s Bar & Grill every Sunday from 12pm-1pm and interacts with the crowd at the restaurant to play fun sports trivia for great prizes every single week. While the obscurities are always fun to talk about, the heart and soul of The Scorecard is highlighting all of the best local talent in Westchester. the guys have different coaches and guests on each week from the area.
Dunk of the Week: J.R. Smith of the New York Knicks
